In Huntington, a $10M multidisciplinary medical practice

Huntington Village is home to a $10 million newly constructed 10,000-square-foot multidisciplinary practice at 400 Park Avenue, intersecting Main Street.

The Northwell Health facility provides primary care services with four primary care providers, as well as specialty care services for women, which is part of the healthcare system’s Katz Women’s Health.

With 21 exam rooms, the building a separate primary care service entrance, and separate entrance for the specialty care services for women. Its specialists include providers of OB/GYN, adolescent gynecology, urogynecology, maternal-fetal medicine, family planning, female cardiology and female endocrinology.

“Northwell is extremely excited to open this beautiful destination practice,” Stephen Bello, regional executive director of Northwell’s Eastern region, said in a statement.

“This location is another demonstration of Northwell’s commitment to integrated, multidisciplinary, care within the communities we serve,” Bello added.

The new practice  is in close proximity to Huntington Hospital.

“For decades there has been a disparity in women’s health,” Dr. Nick Fitterman, executive director of Huntington Hospital, said in a statement. “This new state-of-the-art facility will close that gap and improve the health care afforded to women in Huntington, while also providing much needed access to primary care to everyone in the surrounding community.”

The property was once the site of Platt’s Tavern, one of the first buildings in the community. George Washington is said to have dined there on April 23, 1790, during a tour of Long Island, according to the Town of Huntington.
